Toronto – Chicago

3 days road trip plan.

If you are planning to visit Chicago on a long weekends, I prepare for you my 3 days plan with a top must-see attractions in Chicago, Illinois. And, of course, some great activities for your kids. ;)

Day 1.
Lincoln Park Zoo and Lincoln Park Conservatory – Nature Museum – beach walk.
Great places, one near other, so you don’t have to walk from one spot to another. Beautiful FREE zoo and conservatory. Parking is FREE as well. But you might spend extra time, looking for one. So be prepared. Usually there are a lot of cars.
You will approximately spend 3 hours there, but both you and your kids going to lo😉 Definitely check it out next time when you are going to Chicago.
ve this place! Huge diversity of animals and plants, indoor park with slides and many attractions for kids. We were absolutely surprised by this zoo, especially for FREE
After park go for a lunch to the Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company. They have famous and delicious Chicago stile pizza.
After the lunch go to Nature Museum, it is so close to conservatory and to the place, that you will have lunch. They have free live animal feeding from 1:00 to 1:15, and First Flight Butterfly Release from 2:00 to 2:15.
If you had enough of nature and do not want to go to the museum, you can rather walk on the beach to the downtown, the views are spectacular, by the way. Stroll around streets and just enjoy city vibes.

Day 2.
Chicago 360 – Navy Pier.
You need to go to the Chicago 360 in the morning if you want to avoid crazy lines. Also, if you want to save money, you can just go to the restaurant in the same building call The Signature Room at the 95th . Buy a cup of a coffee or tea and enjoy outstanding city view almost for free😉
Then go to Navy Pier, it takes approximately 30 min walking, but it definitely worst it! Life music on the streets, luxury boutiques and historical buildings through all your walk. You will enjoy it a lot!
On Navy Pier you will find Chicago Children’s Museum, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Amazing Chicago’s Funhouse Maze, Ferris Wheel Navy Pier Chicago and many other great attractions. You are going to love this place!

Day 3.

Millennium Park - Chicago river walk - Willis tower.
These are my favorite places to visit in Chicago. The route id easy with kids, there are no much walking and you and truly enjoy your last day in Chicago. Kids will love to go to the cruise and have a 45 min ride on the Chicago river, while seeing beautiful towers and architecture. You can take a boat ride near by Millennium part and go all the way to the northers part to Willis tower.
It would be a great and unforgettable day in Chicago.
I hope, you liked my ideas and route. Stay tuned for more interesting travels😉
